'Tis the Season...

Sorry for the long delay, but we've been kind of busy getting ready for Santa.

Since we were not going to be home for Christmas this year, we decided to forego the Christmas tree in lieu of a Christmas ribbon -- how sad?

Over the river and through the woods...

Nana and Pappap came to town.

Umpa Lumpa

The boys went for their 4 month weigh in this week. Luke weighed 12 lbs 14 oz, and Owen 15 lbs 7 oz! We grow 'em big here in NYC.

Despite the way it looks in this shot, Luke is indeed the little guy. (Luke left, Owen right)

Our Little Bookends

Our boys were in a pretty good mood today and they had a good time playing with one another.

Here OX & Luke sit back-to-back.

Rubber Ducky...

Is this tub getting smaller or what?! Here are recent shots of the boys enjoying bathtime. Note how much bigger they've grown since the last naked shot (Check out the archives for the month of August.)

Is this Owen or Luke?

No mistaking the boys when they are naked.

Here We Go Steelers....

The boys put on their Steeler uniforms today to cheer on their favorite football team. The Steelers beat the hapless Redskins this week and now they're 10-1 and hopefully Super Bowl bound! The Redskins just happen to be the boys' Uncle John's favorite team.

Hey Uncle John, don't you think the Redskins coach Joe Gibbs should have stuck with NASCAR!?!

Happy Turkey Day!

Our boys spent their first Thanksgiving with some of their family at their Aunt Shannon's house. After watching the conclusion of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade on TV (& seeing Santa for the first time!), our boys found time to get their hands on some turkey.

Luke had no problem gumming his first drumstick.

Owen pondered which was the most efficient way to gobble down some bird.

Our Little Advocates...

The boys recently paid a visit to the JPAC for Older Adults citywide meeting. This was their first foray into social action.

Here Amy and the JPAC staff pose with Owen & Luke.

Here the boys are posing with their Health Care for All pins. With the miserable state of our health care system and with costs soaring through the roof, I can totally understand Luke's response.

Take Me Out ...

Here's a pic of the boys in their baseball uniforms. There is only 4 months until the start of spring training and Lord knows the Mets need all the help they can get.

Let's Go Mets!

The Boys' First Subway Ride & Marathon...

This weekend was another busy weekend for the boys.

OX & Mom were first through the turnstile.

That's Luke & Dad (really, Luke is in there somewhere) getting ready to hop on the 7 Train.

The boys got to cheer on the runners of the New York City Marathon which happens to run right through our neighborhood.

OX really had a great time rooting everyone on. He can't wait to cheer on Mom in 5 years.

One of the highlights of the marathon is cheering on the Achilles runners. They are truly inspirational. For more information on the Achilles Track club, you can visit them at: www.achillestrackclub.org.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

The boys found the markers and made this sign for their Grandpa West.

In honor of Grandpa's birthday, we post this picture of Luke Ronald sleeping in the same crib that his Grandpa slept in when he was a little tyke - 74 years ago.

Vote Aqui

This has been a very busy week for the boys. Over the weekend our boys celebrated their first Halloween and today was their first Election Day. They made sure daddy & mommy got to the polls before they closed on Election night.

Here's Amy & Owen after Amy (or Owen?) casted her vote.

Luke helped me figure out how to use the 40 year old voting machines.

Happy Halloween!

This is our boys' first Halloween and they were really excited to get dressed up. If only they had teeth, then they would be able to eat some candy.

Mommy and the boys dressed as Tigger.

Here's a pic of all the Poley grandkids. There's currently 7 in the litter with one more on the way come Feb. '05.

This is a pic of my sister-in-law Di dressed up for Halloween. Being a woman of great taste, she decided to dress up as the world's best NASCAR driver, Jeff Gordon! Great costume Di. Can I borrow it next year?

Pssst. I've Got a Secret...

This pic was taken last weekend. The boys are now smiling and cooing and they're growing like weeds.

Babies' First Picture

This was the first picture taken of Amy and the boys - about 2 minutes after they were born.

Don't they just look adorable?

Weekend with the Boys...

Here are a few pics taken over the last couple weekends.

Here the boys are cuddling.

The boys love just chillin' next to each other.

In this pic, Owen (on the right) looks as if he could not be any more bored and Luke reminds me of his Nana.

We Have More Cousins?

Our boys got the chance to meet their second cousin Nancy last week.

Here's Sean's cousin Nancy posing for a pic with Luke.

The boys have been a bit under-the-weather recently, and here they're just catching up on some zzzz's.

More Pics from the Baptism...

Here's Luke fashioning his new bib which was made by Amy's cousin's wife Gwen. These bibs (Ox has one, too) were lifesavers on Saturday because it allowed everyone to identify who was who.

Here's Di with her Godson Luke.

Here's Sean's little (or not so little anymore) buddy Troy with the boys.

This is a pic of the boys cousins Chris & Tommy.

God Bless Luke, Owen & Amanda

Today was our boys' Baptism. We had a joint baptism with our niece Amanda.

Here's a group shot of the 3 babies Luke, Owen & Amanda, as well as their parents and Godparents.

Here we are with Father Ralph. A special note of thanks to Father for all his help.

Here's Owen with his Godfather Gus (who also happens to be Amanda's father).

Here's Luke with his Godmother Di as Father Ralph pours holy water over his head.

We're Back Online!

After almost a week, we are now back up and running. For some reason that Verizon cannot explain, our website was unaccessible. That is no longer the case. I apologize for the down-time.

While our website was down, the boys had to communicate with their loved ones the old fashion way. Here Luke is chatting it up with Gram West on the phone.

Here's a pic I wanted to post last week. My sister Winnie and her husband Charlie stopped by for dinner last weekend. The boys were really happy to have someone else to hold them besides mom and dad.

The Chase for the NASCAR Nextel Cup Begins...

Our boys were eager to cheer on their favorite drivers today wearing their race car hats.

Luke's favorite driver is Mark Martin (this is according to his Godmother, Di).

OX's (& Daddy's) favorite driver is Jeff Gordon.

As you can tell by their responses, their favorite drivers didn't win the race. Oh well, there's still 9 more races left!

Are You Ready For Some Football...

Our boys were in uniform and ready to go today for the first Sunday of football. They were even fortunate enough to see the end of the Pittsburgh Steelers game because the Jets game ended early (Here We Go Steelers, Here We Go!).

OX is the linebacker on the left and Luke is the wide-out on the right.

Seeing Double...

Here's a pic of our boys meeting their twin cousins, Katy & Kelly (or is Kelly & Katy?).
