Another Trip to the Cincinnati Zoo

We recently paid another visit to the Cincinnati Zoo and a good time was had by all.


Owen loves to ham it up for the camera.


Of course, Luke never wants to be outdone.


We almost had a squirrel fall out of the tree and land on us. The boys would have loved that.

Thank goodness brother Owen was there to save the day.


Rory had a great time visiting the zoo for the first time.


Well, I guess this was her 2nd time if you count her last visit...in utero.

The Great Blackout of 2008...

We were recently without electricity for a little over 5 days, courtesy of Hurricane Ike.


Thanks to our neighbor Larry (seen here with Rory) and his awesome generator, we were able to save the contents of our refrigerator and freezers.


Wow, the things you take for granted. It became harder to do the little things, such as changing Rory's diapers at night and bathing the boys - here's Owen bathing in the sink in the dark kitchen.


The boys enjoyed their time in the dark. Here they are enjoying cookies and milk by flashlight.


Rory pretty much slept through it all.

Bump, Set, Spike...Miami Volleyball

We had a great time attending the Miami RedHawks Women's Volleyball game.


In addition to taking in the volleyball game, the boys got basketball tips from some members of the Miami Men's Basketball team. Owen got pretty good at spinning a basketball on his finger.


After working up an appetite, it was time to come home and chow down on some crawfish. Luke just loves the mudbugs!

The Boys First Day of School...

The boys started school last week. Here they're donning their new school clothes.


They really had a great time.
