Gearing up for the Holidays

The boys have enjoyed getting ready for Christmas, and we are pleased to report that the shopping is done, the tree is decorated and the cookies are baked. (Alright, so we didn't bake any cookies. You try keeping two curious 16 month olds away from a hot oven. Anyway, our intentions were good.)

Owen practices for his big role in the first annual West Poley Christmas play. Not long out of the manger himself, he decided to forego the traditional gold, frankincense and myrrh and brought goldfish crackers instead.

Sporting a vintage "Ron West Auto" cap, Luke decided to practice for the Christmas festivities by kicking back with a good stiff drink.

Turkey x 2!

For a second year in a row, the boys devoured the turkey and all the trimmings.

Owen's gained a few inches, pounds and eating dexterity this past year!

Making his Daddy proud, Luke has turned into quite a meat eater.

The gang was all there. Actually only 44 relatives dined at Gramma and Grampa's this year. Slow Thanksgiving at the West house. Pictured above with Luke and Owen are Kelly and Ashley, along with Mandy and Hunter, Summer and Savannah, Gracie, Andrew, and Elise. (Way to go guys, you finally made the website!)

One of the best parts of having a house full of people were all the friends the boys had to play with. Here's Owen with his buddy Nathan.

And Luke with his best, non-human, friend Gidget!

Land Shark!

The boys had a blast celebrating Mommy's birthday at the Aquarium last week.

Here Owen decides to take a dip.

Luke jumps in next.

The highlight for Daddy was the tunnel of sharks. Wow, that was a close one.

Olympics 2022...Here They Come!

Our boys are already practicing for the 2022 Olympics. It looks like they want to be...bobsledders???

Here Owen practices pushing the "sled" while Luke shouts words of encouragement.

The boys like to spend their free time mapping out their training schedule.

After a tough day of training, the boys had dad cook them up some grub on the BBQ and pass it through the kitchen window. (Shades of South Ozone Park!)

...And BEARS, Oh My!

Halloween has come and gone, and the boys had a blast.

The feline duo teamed up with their bear-buddy, Chris, to form the perfect halloween trio.

Trick or Treat!

Despite our best efforts, the boys ate more candy that evening than they previously had in their entire lives. They can't help it, that sweet tooth is genetic!
