If I Had a Hammer...

It has been a little while, but we thought we would give props to the Falks & Olers for their help a few weeks back. A heart-felt thanks to everyone for all their help. We could not have done it without you'll!

Uncle Tom & cousin Tommy were busy putting together the boys' (early) birthday present...a new swing set!

Aunt Susie and cousin Emily were busy supervising the construction.

Aunt Di was in charge of quality control and training the kids on how to use their new play structure.

Luke absolutely loves the swings.

Owen digs the swings as well.

It did not take them long to get the hang of it.

Season Finale

All good things must come to an end.

The fellas sure are going to miss Tommy. We didn't have the heart to break the news to them.

They didn't even wonder why we gave him a present. But they did volunteer to sing "Happy Birthday" to him :)

And we're pretty sure that they'll notice that big empty room.

We've all had a great time living with Tommy. He fixes stuff, kills things, moves things, folds laundry, changes diapers, cuts grass, gives great drug advice, lets you use his car, plays with nicely with everybody, builds awesome toys (as you can see), and never once utters a complaint...

Not even when he eats sushi :)

We sure are going to miss ya, Tommy.

Where oh where have we been?

Busy I guess. No good excuse, just busy. But at last here are some new pics.

We had our first ear of corn recently. And nothing like team-work, eh? In the process of helping mommy shuck, they helped themselves to an ear.

They loved it :)

They also loved helping daddy celebrate his birthday, 36 finally. He's almost catching up to mommy.

Of course, no poley b-day would be complete without ice cream cake.

Luke and mom enjoyed swimming in their favorite pool.

While Owen preferred to hang with his buddy, Katie.

And later they both enjoyed sharing some ice cream with Katie. Boys after grandma's heart :)

Zoo days

We had a great time at the Cincinnati Zoo last week. There was so much to see and do.

Here's Owen and Luke getting a good look at a real-life rhino.

The boys loved playing Spiderman with their friends, Katie and Brady.

Twin turtle.

The boys share a gorilla ride with our friends, Angie and Katie.

And we finished off the day with a ride on the choo-choo. The little conductors loved it!

Spring has spung!

Well the weather has finally warmed up, and the boys have sure been enjoying themselves.

We've had a few days in the eighties and the boys couldn't wait to try out the sprinkler. It quickly changed from something you innocently run through to a weapon you aim at your brother :) Boys will be boys.

In that same vein of boys will be boys, here's Daddy taking Owen pee-pee on a tree-tree.

The warmer evenings led to some family fun too. Here's daddy and Owen ready to hit the road.

And Luke and his buddy Tommy enjoyed this new mode of transportation.

Mommy also enjoyed some free-cycling on her early mother's day gift.

The warmer weather has got us gearing up for some first-time home owner yard work. Here's daddy and Owen test-driving the lawn mower.

And Luke test-driving also. Take a good look at his long-locks as they are now sporting their summer do's. Stay-tuned for those pics.

We've also been busy hanging out with friends. Here's Owen snuggling up with Katie, with Brady wondering how he can sneak in.

While Luke pretends to be a little leprechaun.
