Field Trip to the Fire House...

The boys pre-school class recently went on a field trip to the Oxford Fire Department.


The boys, sporting their Lawrence Park Fire Department shirts, were loving every minute of the trip.


Owen could not resist touring the fire truck...


while Luke preferred to check out a rescue vehicle.


Owen also volunteered to test the firefighter's steel-toed boots.

Tommy & Cari Come to Oxford...

Cousin Tommy and soon to be cousin-in-law Cari paid us a visit for the annual pumpkin carving extravaganza.

The gang did a great job (& had a blast) carving the pumpkins.


After the pumpkin carving, there was time for some football.


Rory played so well, she got the game ball!

Rory Pays a Visit to the Baby Doctor...

Here's Amy and Rory with Dr. Evans and nurse Nancy. These are the folks who provided Amy with great care throughout her pregnancy.


Amy was very grateful to nurse Yvonne for all her help during her pregnancy.


Amy found a great new spot for Rory to chill. She loves hangin' in the laundry basket.


Our friend Jennifer recently came over for dinner. After dinner she read the boys their bedtime stories.

Another Trip to the Cincinnati Zoo

We recently paid another visit to the Cincinnati Zoo and a good time was had by all.


Owen loves to ham it up for the camera.


Of course, Luke never wants to be outdone.


We almost had a squirrel fall out of the tree and land on us. The boys would have loved that.

They even got to ride a rhino!


Thank goodness brother Owen was there to save the day.


Rory had a great time visiting the zoo for the first time.


Well, I guess this was her 2nd time if you count her last visit...in utero.


Always the big brother, Owen loves watching over his lil' sis.

The Great Blackout of 2008...

We were recently without electricity for a little over 5 days, courtesy of Hurricane Ike.


Thanks to our neighbor Larry (seen here with Rory) and his awesome generator, we were able to save the contents of our refrigerator and freezers.


Wow, the things you take for granted. It became harder to do the little things, such as changing Rory's diapers at night and bathing the boys - here's Owen bathing in the sink in the dark kitchen.


The boys enjoyed their time in the dark. Here they are enjoying cookies and milk by flashlight.


Rory pretty much slept through it all.
