2010 Frozen Four

We all went to Detroit to cheer on Miami at the Frozen Four. Amy & the boys had a good time rooting for their RedHawks.

This was Rory's first hockey game. She did a great job chanting, "Let's go 'Hawks!"

Even though Miami lost in the semi-finals, the boys did not let that get them down.

On Friday night, the boys and I went to the Frozen Four Skills Challenge. They said their favorite part was meeting all the players. Here's a pic of the boys with Dartmouth's Sarah Parsons.

After the finals, we went to the HockeyTown Cafe to grab a bite to eat. Rory just had to lift up the Stanley Cup for good measure.

St. Patrick's Day 2010

Yep, I know we are pretty far behind posting pics.

The gang began St. Patrick's Day by dressing in green. O.K., Rory's not exactly dressed in green, but that's pretty close.

Rory and her friend Luke visited the boys' class that day because they had a special visitor - a real live leprechaun!

The leprechaun put on a magic show for the whole class.

And as I learned from the boys, one should never trust a leprechaun! (Special thanks to our friend Angie's dad, Mr. Kelley for entertaining all the kids. The kids had a blast!)

Happy Easter 2010, Part 2

After the gang found their Easter baskets, it was time to hunt for eggs. Rory did not have any trouble finding her first egg.

Owen was on a serious mission to find the eggs. He looked everywhere!

The Easter bunny left an egg on the swing set, but it looks like someone else (maybe a raccoon?) got to the egg before Luke did.

Here's Luke, Rory & Owen posing for a pic donning their Easter best.

Happy Easter 2010, Part 1

First, a quick apology for our lack of activity over the past few months. No real excuses, other than we have been a bit busy.

The gang spent their spring break in Erie with their grandparents. It was the week before Easter, so you know what that means...coloring eggs. Luke was proud of his "red" egg.

Owen, the artist in the family, really loved painting eggs.

Rory tried her hand at coloring eggs, and she did not make much of a mess!

The night before Easter, the boys wanted to leave a note for the Easter bunny.

At first, Rory wanted to leave a note as well, but then she decided to just eat the carrots instead!

Rico's Ristorante 2010

We recently attending Rico's Ristorante, one of the Miami Blue Line Club's great events. As usual, the boys tended to gravitate to their favorite players. This pic was taken with their fellow native New Yorker, Pat Connone. The boys told Pat all about their recent trip to his native Long Island.

Miami captain, Tommy Wingles always has something nice to say to the boys.

Luke just loves Justin Vaive. We took this same pic last year. As you can see, the boys have grown a little bit since this time last year, but they still have a while to go to reach Justin at 6 ft. 6 in.

Rory did not mind having her picture taken with Justin, but she seemed more interested in eying what was for dessert.

After all, Rory really does love to eat!

And from time to time, she also helps the boys clean the dishes!
