Happy 2007

We're back. We know it has been a while since our last post. The boys had a blast visiting with their relatives in NY and Pa. And they were thrilled to see that Santa had visited when we got home. Christmas is so magical when seen through the eyes of 2 two-year olds...

The boys almost went into orbit the day they got a free ride on Santa's sleigh. They loved the reindeer.

At two, they already understood the question "what do you want for Christmas." They both promptly told Santa they wanted hockey sticks. (Santa must have been up late making toys the night before, as he appears to be sleeping through the boys' visit.)

They loved everything about the holiday season. From all the fun with family to the huge parties and all that food. They were delighted to help Aunt Mar make cookies. "One M-n-M for the cookies, three for me"...you get the idea.

All that partying certainly wore them out, or so it would appear. But the devil is in the details. Here is where we found them one afternoon at Grandma's when it seemed a little quiet...In bed, sharing a stolen candy bar.

Look at these big boys sporting their awesome new LPFD hoodies. They haven't wanted to wear anything else since they got these firefighter sweat shirts from Di-Di.

So after a few weeks of fun, they finally returned home to find that Santa did, indeed, drop off a few things while they were away, including a rocking horse.

And a single-seat police-car (which the boys converted into a double-seater. Share and share, alike).

And I guess Santa was listening afterall. Here's Owen cheering after a GOOOOOOOOOAL.

And Luke, who's favorite quote over the last few weeks has been "not in my goal" swiftly claimed the goalie stick.

Happy Birthday Tommy!

The boys had a blast celebrating Tommy's Big day.

Here's the boys sporting Tommy's presents.

And the boys helped Tommy blow out the 24 candles.

Chef-Owen wanted to whip up something special for Tommy.

Here we go Steelers

The annual pilgrimage to Pittsburgh took place this past weekend, the boys decided to go along to play with their PA and NY relatives and friends. And play they did, lots of food and fun and very little sleep.

They played hard at Aunt Mar's house with all the usual suspects.

They were thrilled by Katelynn's flips.

And chilled with Jenn.

And chanted Steeler cheers with PapPap.

And they practiced their piano with Abby. Whew, what a weekend.

Leftovers from Thanksgiving.

Pictures, not food. Here are a few more shots of our visit with Gram and Gramp.

No visit from Gram would be complete without a quick double-bath in the sink.

The boys had a blast with Grampa.

And, of course, with Gram.

The weather has been pretty nice so we've spent most mornings outside. (A not so subtle attempt to wear the boys out for nap-time.)

But despite our best efforts, they usually have their own plans. Today I found them having a romping good time in Luke's cribby during nap-time. Owen's expert climbing abilities seem to mean the end of most routine naps around here.

Happy Turkey Day!

We were thrilled to be able to host the first Thanksgiving in our new house.

Chef Sean started cooking the night before.

Not to be out-done, the boys jumped in on the action to bake Grandma some cookies.

A delicious feast was had by all!

Even though Tommy wasn't here to join us, he had to get in on the cooking action, too. Here he is baking the boys some cookies (really they were for Cari, but the boys snuck a few.) Everyone probably wishes that Tommy would move in with them. We woke the other morning to find he had folded two loads of laundry. Boy, Di-Di must really miss him.
