We recently attended a Cinco de Mayo party and here's Rory sporting a sombrero. Now if she can only find her maracas.

We recently went to the park for a picnic.


Rory just loves to swing...

2009 Frozen Four

Luke and dad recently went down to Washington D.C. for the Frozen Four (college hockey's version of the Final Four).


Fortunately, our team earned their first ever trip to the Frozen Four this year!


Luke was lucky enough to get some ice time at the Verizon Center.


Here Luke and his cousin Tsubomi are getting ready to take a face-off at center ice.


While Miami might have lost in the finals, we had a great time. Here Luke takes a break from eating his pickle to show his allegiance - Love & Honor to Miami!


I wonder if cousin Mo-Mo will be heading to Miami University in about 15 years?


Of course, no trip to D.C. is complete without meeting the President...here's Luke with Miami University's President, David Hodge.

No trip to Erie is complete without a trip to the Lawrence Park Fire Department. The boys (& now Rory) just love it when Aunt Di Di shows them the ropes.


Of course, they just love wearing Aunt Di Di's helmet...


and the badges and the LPFD tattoos. Matter of fact, Owen is still sporting his tattoo...it just won't wash off! I'm beginning to think it is permanent.


The boys also got to hang with their favorite hockey playing cousins, Nathan, Jamie (Bubba) and Tyler.

While Amy & Rory were at the shower, grandpa stayed home with the boys. Owen just loved four-wheeling with grandpa through the woods.

Easter 2009, Part 2

They boys had a chance to wear their Easter best.


Rory also got into the act. I guess the color for this year was pink. I must admit that they all do look quite dapper.


Rory must have a sweet tooth like her grandma. It did not take her long to finish all her Easter candy.
